Hanging above your bed
When choosing a gallery wall to hang above your bed, you need to take into consideration the adornments you have to your bed. Do you have a bed head? Do you have big pillows that sit behind your standard ones? As the top of these will form the base point to measure from. The rule of thumb when hanging wall art is to hang at eye level, but if you have a tall bed head then you might need to go a little higher than normal. We recommend ensuring the base of the lowest frame sits around 20cm above the top of the largest item on your bed (be it your bedhead or pillows)When choosing the design, you’ll also need to factor in the width of your bed. Here is a rundown of the widths of the average bed size: Single : 92cm | King Single : 106cm | Double : 137cm | Queen : 153cm | King : 183cm | Super King : 203cm
We recommend choosing a gallery wall that is roughly sized two thirds the size of your bed. We’ve based our choices on a Queen sized bed, but we have lots of options for every bed size. So you can view the gallery walls like for like, we have used the same room for easy comparison.
