How to Hang Wall Art (Without Second Guessing It
As a general rule, the centre of your artwork should sit around 145–150cm from the floor—which is roughly eye level for most people. This creates a balanced and intentional feel throughout your space. If you're hanging artwork above furniture (like a console, headboard, or lounge), leave about 15–20cm of space between the top of the furniture and the bottom edge of your frame. This helps the piece feel connected to the setting without crowding it.
For larger pieces—like our XL Frames or Panoramic Prints —ensure they’re anchored by similarly scaled furniture. These work beautifully above king beds, long buffets, or statement entry tables.
Of course, these are guidelines, not rules. Trust your eye, consider your ceiling height, and lean into what feels right in your home.

Should I Mix Professional Photos with Candid Ones?
Yes—please do. Some of the most loved walls we’ve seen include a mix of polished portraits and unfiltered, joy-filled moments. It adds texture and authenticity, and helps your gallery feel personal rather than posed. Our advice? Start with the photos that make you feel something, whether they were taken by a pro or snapped on the fly. They all tell your story.
How Big Can I Print My Phone Photos?
Thanks to today’s smartphone cameras, most phone photos are perfectly suited for printing—even at generous sizes. At Love JK, we also use professional software to gently upscale lower-resolution images, so your photos stay crisp, sharp, and true to life—even in larger frames.
And of course, every image is reviewed by hand before it’s printed. If anything doesn’t meet our quality standards, we’ll reach out with a recommendation.

Can I Mix Colour and Black & White Photos?
Yes, and it can look incredibly elegant. The key is to be intentional. You can group black & white images within a single frame or arrange them alongside colour in a way that creates contrast and cohesion. Often, it helps to choose a unifying element—like a consistent framing style or shared subject matter.
If you’re unsure, keep black & white images clustered or allow one moment to stand out within a mostly colour (or monochrome) layout.
Can I Replace My Photos Later?
Absolutely. Our frames are designed to last—and that includes the flexibility to update your photos as life unfoldsTo replace your print, simply peel back the framer’s tape, lift the metal tabs, and gently remove the current photo. We recommend doing this on a clean, flat surface in a dust-free space. Wipe the glass with a soft microfibre cloth before sealing everything back up.
Whether you're updating your gallery with a new milestone or refreshing your space, it’s easy to keep your frames as current as your memories.
